From the Bosphorus cutting between Europe and Asia to domes, minarets, mosaics, and Ottoman-inspired ornamentation, the artwork brings Istanbul’s layered identity together in one continuous composition.
The deep burgundy base was chosen to complement the aged gold, turquoise, and mosaic tones of the artwork, giving the piece the richness of something collected rather than simply printed.
