Across generations, Belarusian textile traditions carried stories of nature, family, protection, and identity through carefully constructed geometric forms. These patterns were more than embellishment — they became a way for memory to move from one generation to the next.
БЕЛАРУСКІ АРНАМЕНТ reinterprets that visual heritage through a contemporary lens. The back artwork begins in structure: intricate red and black geometric forms inspired by traditional Belarusian ornamentation. Then, gradually, that structure begins to disappear. Lines break apart. Symbols separate. Fragments dissolve into the surrounding space as though the pattern itself is being pulled away by time.
Yet the center remains.
That tension between preservation and disappearance is the heart of the piece — a reminder that heritage is not something frozen in the past. It is fragile, living, inherited, and continually reshaped by those who carry it forward.
