Description

In 1394, the Joseon dynasty moved its capital to Hanyang — the city that would become modern-day Seoul.

Hanyang 1394 traces that founding moment through layers of Korean history and artistry: a Joseon-era figure robed in royal purple, palace architecture rising through mist, cranes in flight, blossoms, and sweeping Korean calligraphy. Deep violet watercolor and restrained gold detailing give the artwork a refined, dreamlike gravity — while keeping Korea's past unmistakably at its center.

A smaller Hanyang-inspired chest detail anchors the front, while the full back artwork unfolds into something closer to a painting than a print.
